Westphal Staffing is partnering with a community-focused financial institution to hire a Checking/ACH Specialist for its Wausau office. This is a long-term opportunity with structured, hands-on training and a clear path into a specialized banking operations role.
Position Overview:
The Checking/ACH Specialist supports the bank’s checking and ACH operations by monitoring transactions, resolving exceptions, and assisting customers and internal teams. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced financial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Process non-post items, stop pays, and NSF items

Handle debit card requests, maintenance, and lost/stolen cards

Balance ACH transactions and review system reports

Respond to customer inquiries and escalate issues as needed

Monitor checking account exceptions and new accounts

Maintain confidentiality and follow all compliance requirements

Perform teller and branch support duties as assigned
What You Bring:

High school diploma or GED
-
Banking, teller, CSR, or office experience preferred

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Good communication and computer skills (Excel, Word, 10-key)

Professional, ethical, and team-oriented mindset
Schedule & Location:

Full-time during normal business hours

Saturday mornings required

Position based in the Wausau office
