Westphal Staffing is partnering with a great organization looking for an experienced Accounting & Payroll Specialist to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys digging into the details, keeping the numbers accurate, and finding ways to make accounting processes even better.
What you’ll be doing:
- Process biweekly and supplemental payrolls
- Prepare financial statements and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Support annual audits and financial reporting
- Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and government requirements
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- 5+ years of related accounting experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
- CPA and/or CMA is a plus!
