We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented System Provider Scheduler to support a busy healthcare team. This is a fast-paced coordination role responsible for scheduling providers across multiple specialties and locations within a large healthcare system.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can effectively manage frequent schedule changes while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. This assignment is intended as a trial opportunity with strong potential for permanent hire.
Schedule
- 32 hours per week
- Flexible 4- or 5-day schedule
- If working 4 days/week, weekday off must be Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday
Responsibilities
- Coordinate provider schedules across multiple specialties and locations
- Manage scheduling updates using scheduling software systems
- Track PTO, CME, FMLA, meetings, and provider call-ins
- Communicate schedule changes promptly with providers and leadership teams
- Assist with onboarding and orientation scheduling for new providers
- Maintain accurate scheduling records and reports
- Support operational efficiency through strong coordination and communication
Qualifications
- Prior scheduling experience required
- Healthcare experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and follow-through
- Professional demeanor with the ability to handle constructive feedback
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
